Grizzly G0771Z 10 in 2 HP 120V Hybrid Table Saw w/ T-Shaped FenceAn enclosed hybrid with a 40-1/2 by 27 in table, a T-shaped front-locking fence with a narrow-rip attachment, a 4 in dust port and a 324 lb ship weight.
Who it is for
- A garage woodworker who wants a stationary saw with real mass and a fence that locks accurately, but only has 120V.
- Anyone moving up from a jobsite saw who wants cast iron trunnions and a bigger table.
- Shops that may later move to 240V; the motor is dual voltage and prewired for 120V.
- A shop where a 324 lb saw is the practical upper limit for a fixed machine.
Who should skip it
- Shops that already have 240V and want maximum power, where the 3 HP G1023RL is the stronger fit.
- Anyone who needs a 32 in or greater rip capacity; this saw is 30 in.
- Buyers who expect a SawStop-style brake; this saw does not include one.

What the spec sheet does not tell you
A 2 HP motor on 120V at 15A is at the top of what a normal household circuit can supply. Treat this as a dedicated 20A circuit machine, and do not plug a dust collector into the same branch. The motor can be rewired for 240V at 7.5A, which halves the current and is the better long-term answer if you can get 240V to the saw.
The most useful design detail is trunnions mounted to the cabinet rather than the table. On a contractor-style saw the trunnions hang from the underside of the table, so moving the table or adding heavy wings can disturb alignment. Cabinet-mounted trunnions keep the blade assembly stable relative to the base, which is the basis for the hybrid class. Our cabinet vs contractor comparison explains why that matters.
The T-shaped fence locks at the front and is the part of a table saw that most affects whether cuts come out square. Grizzly lists a narrow-rip attachment so that thin strips can be ripped without the blade touching the fence. A fence is only as good as its alignment to the miter slot, so allow time at setup to check parallelism.
The 4 in dust port is the same constraint as most saws in this class. Enclosed cabinets help contain dust but still need a collector with enough airflow, so size your system with the dust collection calculator. Shipping weight is 324 lb, which means freight delivery and help to set the saw.
The honest weakness
The honest weakness is the 120V ceiling. A 2 HP motor at 15A leaves no margin on the circuit, and a 3 HP saw at 240V has an easier life cutting thick hardwood. The saw also has the standard dust port constraints of the class, and no flesh-sensing technology. If you can run 240V, compare it against the G1023RL before you commit.
Grizzly direct vs Amazon
The Grizzly button goes to the manufacturer product page for current specifications, manual and parts. Direct purchase means a single seller responsible for the 324 lb freight.
The closest Amazon-sold comparison is a hybrid saw from another brand. Pick the Grizzly for the cabinet-mounted trunnions and fence; pick the Amazon-sold alternative if you prefer its brand, its riving knife system or Amazon delivery on a heavy item. Compare rip capacity and fence design first.

Common questions
Is the G0771Z a cabinet saw?
It is a hybrid. The cabinet is enclosed and the trunnions mount to the cabinet, but the motor is a 2 HP unit on 120V rather than the 3 HP, 240V motor of a cabinet saw.
Does the G0771Z run on 120V?
Yes. It is prewired for 120V at 15A, with a 240V option at 7.5A.
Does the G0771Z replace the G0732 contractor saw?
Grizzly lists the G0732 as discontinued, and this hybrid is the closest current model in the class.
What is the rip capacity?
Grizzly lists 30 in to the right of the blade and 15 in to the left.
